The Programme started in September 2007 and is now entering its 7th year. The next course will begin in September 2013.
The course is split 50/50 between college-based learning and work-based learning. The college based learning takes place in Dublin Business School’s city centre campus and you will receive your work-based learning in a Lidl training store located in the Republic of Ireland, ideally close to your home town.
What will I learn?
Throughout the degree programme, you will learn a wide range of relevant business disciplines such as Computers, Communication, Accounting, Consumer & Business Law, Administration, Consumer Behaviour, Marketing, Retail Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, HR and much more!
While working in the Lidl store, you will become proficient in People Management, Stock Control, Store Standards, Customer Service, Cost Control and Business Planning. This will be done through "on the job" training, "off the job" training sessions and also by working through our store training & development programmes.
What happens when I’m finished?
On successful completion of the programme, with your degree safely tucked away in your back pocket, you have an excellent chance of being offered a permanent Deputy Store Manager contract immediately. After all, our ultimate aim is to launch your career with us and Deputy Store Manager might only be your starting point!
With an industry-leading salary and fantastic career prospects, you will be well on your way to success in Retail Management.
